An Afghan interpreter who aided a mission to rescue a group of U.S. Senators 13 years ago, including current President Joe Biden, is now safely out of Afghanistan after getting stranded in the country for weeks after the Taliban retook the country.

Aman Khalili, who as a translator helped rescue Joe Biden when his helicopter made an emergency landing in Afghanistan in 2008, made it across the border into Pakistan.
