Kilburn Engineering Ltd (KEL) has acquired M E Energy Private Ltd, a prominent player in waste heat recovery and reutilization systems, for Rs 98.70 crore. This strategic move aims to establish KEL as a comprehensive solution provider in the thermal engineering sector. M E Energy, with a revenue of Rs 44.70 crore in 2022-23, brings valuable expertise in waste heat recovery solutions, complementing KELs existing portfolio of drying systems.

The acquisition is a strategic move by Kilburn to augment its capabilities and fortify its position in the thermal engineering systems market, the company said in a statement.

Kilburn Engineering shares ended 1.82% lower at Rs 156.60 on September 18. The stock slipped 3.38% to an intraday low of Rs 154.10 on Monday.
