Markus Crane, a noted independent wrestler making a comeback from a traumatic brain injury and surgery, died Monday at age 33.

On Monday morning, Freelance Wrestling announced that Illinois-based wrestler Markus Crane had passed away.

The deathmatch veteran had been sidelined after a traumatic brain injury in 2019.

Crane was a death match wrestler from Illinois who had wrestled for Game Changer Wrestling, AAW, and more.
