Staycations have been a popular concept for a long time—for a variety of reasons—and one look at the state’s official Visitors Guide shows why it’s still a good idea in Kitsap County.

WALL-E and MO are arguably two of Pixar’s most iconic characters, but seeing either one of them in real life is typically something to be accomplished at a Disney Theme park and nowhere else.

It had all the appearances of your typical county fair: barns packed with animals and their owners, ribbons galore and the best country tunes played from speakers and the main stage.

If you haven’t already, you should be making plans on how to get to the Winslow ferry without your car or bike for when it’s closed to those forms of transportation Sept. 7-13.

The gates are open for five days chock full of fried food, festivities, music and rodeos for the historic 100th anniversary of the Kitsap Fair and Rodeo.

Legendary country music artist Trace Adkins will perform at 5 p.m. Aug. 27 at the 100th anniversary of the Kitsap Fair and Stampede in Bremerton.

Fair organizers are promising a bigger event in 2022 after last years event was pared down amid COVID-19 concerns.
