It is with sadness that the FW de Klerk Foundation announces that its CEO, Adv Jacques du Preez, has left the Foundation at the end of 2021. Adv Du Preez informed the Foundation in September last year that he and his family had decided, for professional and personal reasons, to move to Switzerland - the home country of his wife, Barbara.
F.W. de Klerk, politician who as president of South Africa (1989–94) brought the apartheid system of racial segregation to an end and negotiated a transition to majority rule in his country. He and Nelson Mandela jointly received the 1993 Nobel Prize for Peace.
