The City of Greensboro opened the state’s first “Safe Parking Site” where anyone can stay in their cars for free overnight or during the day.

As if Greensboro hasn’t struggled enough with the dilemma of local homelessness, now this:

The Interactive Resource Center, located at 407 E. Washington St. in downtown Greensboro, exists to provide resources to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Records show Kristina Singleton was arrested Thursday for four counts of larceny at Target stores on Bridford Parkway and Lawndale Drive.

The Interactive Resource Center director is facing larceny charges, according to the Greensboro Police Department.

Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 17, the Interactive Resource Center will begin the first phase of transitioning its services to being accessible 24/7 to better address issues of homelessness in the community.
