tonight, politico playbook reporting the white house involvement in those hearings is unlikely. quote, as of right now, people close to the president, donald trump, on the white house staff and on capitol hill, will dot believe he will send a lawyer to participate in next week s judiciary impeachment hearings. so what do we expect going forward? joining us now, kyle chaney. good to have you with us. a lot of the reporting i just quoted is your reporting. so, let s talk about, first of all, that chairman nadler of the judiciary committee, the attention is now going to move to him from the intelligence committee. he s given the white house until sunday night to decide whether they are sending donald trump, donald trump and lawyers or lawyers for donald trump, to this hearing. it s been a big part of the discussion amongst republicans that, you re not letting us have, you re not letting the president have his say or any part of this. what is likely to happen? so, as my colleagues report

it s not clear tonight whether or if republican leadership might take this thing up, but the president s conservative allies in congress are officially now making their run at it. what happens next here? joining us now is kyle chaney, a congressional reporter politico.com joining us now. thanks for being here. appreciate it. thanks for having me. we had heard that these articles of impeachment were around. deputy attorn rosenstein had made comments where he teased the republicans for leaking their own draft of these articles of impeachment. we ve known they were circulating for a while. do we have any understanding why they may have been actually been introduced tonight? this has been long in the making. these pro-trump republicans in particular have made rosenstein the symbol for all of their frustrations with the justice department and with the mueller investigation.
