Rob Yerxa, who the town hired in July 2008, resigned Feb. 13 for a job with the Maine Municipal Association’s loss control department.

Cornell Knight, who led Bar Harbor for seven years until his retirement in January 2022, will fill the position vacated by Sophie Wilson.

“Sophie has been a great communicator with the council,” said Chairperson Geoff Wingard, who declined to say whether she resigned or was fired.
