Nigerian Police Detain Trigger-happy Inspector For Killing Lagos Estate Resident

The Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Command has confirmed the arrest and detention of a police inspector who was allegedly behind the Tuesday night shooting that involved men of Ajah Division, during which one Gafaru Buraimoh of Happy Estate, Ajah was killed. The cause of the shooting still remains unclear but the police in a statement said that while the officer is in detention, investigation has commenced to ascertain the immediate and remote cause of the shooting.

Nigerian Soldiers Beat Policeman, Traffic Officer For Accusing Them Of Wrong-Way Driving In Lagos, Victims Hospitalised

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that some soldiers of the Nigerian Army beat up a policeman and an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, in Lagos State. The incident happened on Wednesday morning along Eko Bridge. It was learnt that the soldiers were going against the direction of traffic when the policeman and LASTMA officer stopped their vehicle and ordered them to turn back and take the right lane.
