Gov. Greg Gianforte recently signed two bills into law that each set up their own particular charter school systems in the state, actively making Montana the 46th state in the country to implement the independent, public schools.

Kalispell Public Schools will seek an interim superintendent for the 2023-24 school year after opting against interviewing any of the five applicants who responded to the initial job posting.

The District held the two levies to replenish a depleted elementary general fund and to upgrade technology at the high school level.
