Hours after the Chandrayaan-3 missions Lander Vikram had a successful soft landing on the moon, the Rover Pragyaan rolled out of the module to undertake in-situ scientific experiments on the lunar surface. The Rover will explore the lunar surface for 14 days or one lunar day.

Chandrayaan-3 is expected to make a soft landing on the moon in a few hours and everyone is extremely excited and hopeful for ISROs latest lunar mission. According to ISRO, Lander and the Rover have five scientific payloads which have been placed inside the Lander Module (LM). Rovers Alpha Particle X-Ray Spectrometer (APXS) will be used to derive the chemical composition and infer mineralogical composition to further enhance the understanding of the lunar surface. Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscope (LIBS) will determine the elemental composition of the lunar soil and rocks around the Moons landing site.

Chandrayaan-3 Landing On Moon: Post touchdown, the rover module of Chandrayaan-3 will now embark on its 14-day assignment to carry out the tasks mandated by the ISRO scientists.
