Cant afford to live here. We have a serious effort to win on this type of revenue at the ballot and require the mayor and his great popularity to push these and build a coalition that is Strong Enough to pass something that is significant on the crisis that many san franciscans are facing and finding the affordability gap and living in the city and with that i will submit. Thank you supervisor avalos. Supervisor breed. Thank you. Along with my cosponsors supervisor christensen, supervisor cohen and supervisor tang and supervisor campos and the department of the status of women i am introducing a resolution declaring next tuesday april 14 equal payday in San Francisco. April 14 represents how far in 2015 women must work in order to earn what men earn in 2014. Equal pay is a symbol of how far we still have to go to achieve pay equity for women and minorities. According to the bureau of labor statistics full time employed women on average earn roughly 78 cents for every dollar men earn. I

Whether they have a college education, work in a white collar or blue collar job, have children or dont, women sadly are paid less than men in 2015. Studies show even when personal choices and rns specials are accounted for across industries and at every level the gender wage gap still prer siftds. In fact San Franciscos vision zero policy passed last year has been us aware we can do more to protect pedestrians and bicyclists. If you look outside in the crosswalk now even the City Engineer have brought solutions to these types of issues. I could see the improvement for the crosswalk right outside city hall on polk street will be completed soon and again its one of those things i feel our effort to bring the zero vision policy has brought a lot of awareness to all of us and not only in this and City Engineer and it is law enforcement, so this month is distracted driving Awareness Month and i hope this legislation shifts the driving culture so we focus on driving and prevent needless deaths and tragic collisions. When i introduced it earlier or about a month ago i did mention there are limitations in how much of this can apply locally versus
