Less than two months after a fire burned the Hurricane Ridge Day Lodge to the ground, the gate at the entrance of Hurricane Ridge Road opened June 27 to allow visitors to navigate the steep and twisty 17-mile road to one of Olympic National Park’s most popular destinations.

Timeline for reopening Hurricane Ridge Road expected in June
Olympic National Park officials said they won’t have a timeline for reopening Hurricane Ridge Road until at least June 2, according to a press release from the park, following the fire that destroyed the Olympic National Park Day Lodge in early May.
