Schools across Utah are facing a crossing guard shortage. Some parents and a former crossing guard say one school with almost 1,000 students faces serious challenges.

The Alpine School District has voted to pause the closure studies for Lindon, Windsor and Lehi elementary schools \u2014 meaning all three schools will remain open for now.

The school, built in 1951, has often been used as an overflow area for water over the years.
