Tyldesley culture programme given £70,000 cash injection

A three-year programme that promises to bring Tyldesley to life with art and culture has been given a £70,000 cash injection. For Tyldesley, the group behind the Tyldesley Heritage Action Zone (HAZ) programme, will receive the money as part of Historic England £6m funding for projects across the country. It will help the community deliver a range of events and activities over the next three years and additional funding has also been secured for the expertise of arts and events producer Vicky Tyrrell. Ian Tomlinson, community engagement manager for Tyldesley HAZ, said: “The programme of events has been developed from ideas suggested by local residents and volunteers who are highly invested in the success of this initiative and will be supported by Natalia Stothard and Paul Costello from The Pelican Centre as our heritage and culture lead partner organisation.
