When i started 8 years ago, i had no idea that we would grow to have more than 100 members but now 8 years in i know that the strength is a strength of how much support we had. Last year we were about to get ignite funding for hbcu through appropriations. Because of the work that we did, 50 million in grants are available to our schools. All right. [applause] make transformative investment and, of course, this includes research productivity, fact ultimatey expertise, graduate programs. Human capital leading to external funding. The investments made in our schools today in investment in the future and so i just yaws myself as an example. I am a living testament for importance of hbcu. My mother raised me.
