Throwaway vapes will be banned in Britain under plans to tackle the rise in young people vaping and protect children’s health.

It will also become illegal for anyone born after January 1 2009 to buy tobacco under the prime ministers plan to create a smoke-free generation.

The U.K. wants to ban disposable vapes in an effort to reduce vaping among children, levels of which have risen sharply over the last two years.

The plans, confirmed by the Prime Minister today, are also expected to see vapes restricted to four flavours, sold in plain packaging and displayed out of kids sight.

Decision aims to tackle an estimated five million items discarded each week.
