When my 14-year-son William was diagnosed with leukemia, we turned to the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) to find a volunteer bone marrow donor. Thanks to this nonprofit organization, my son found a donor, who helped extend his life. We are grateful we had more time with William, before he unfortunately lost his battle with cancer in 2011.
