Summer activities for youth and family are just around the corner! From camps to summer school, there are plenty of places to let kids develop and grow new skills and make new friends.

As Walter Chihara explained in a recent commentary, students who complete the Junior Lifeguard Program receive training that can help them save lives.

The six sessions, open to all keiki ages 11 to 17, will be held at Makaha, Nanakuli, Ehukai, Kailua, Ala Moana and Waimanalo Beach Parks.

The City and County of Honolulu’s Ocean Safety Division is set to launch its Junior Lifeguard Programs for the summer of 2023.

The Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Junior Lake Lifeguard program tryouts are now open! Join the program for a fun, unique opportunity like no other to get active, make new friends and learn crucial water safety skills this summer.

Summer break ends soon. While many events and experiences have already become memories, there’s still time for kids to have more adventures.
