As we close in we can see the rain moving in there marine county over to napa county. The orange and red colors there, moving north of Sonoma County toward the napa area, east of fairfield. Its a strong storm and it will be with us tonight and tomorrow morning producing anywhere from 1 inch to 2. 5 inhes for most of the bay year area. 2 to 4 inches in the hills. Heaviest of the rain will be in the north bay until midnight. Moving into San Francisco and oakland later tonight in the Early Morning hours. Into the south bay between 2 00 and 8 00 a. M. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 3 00 tomorrow morning for all of the north bay, especially the barn
Chains are a must over the mountain passes tonight. We want to begin with the rain, which is really coming down in a number of places around the bay area. Drew tuma joins us with live do doppler 7. The storm is really getting its act together. Live doppler 7 is showing you an active picture. A lot of downpours have developed with yell row and orae on your screen. Around moraga, you can see from donald drive to pinehurst road, it is pouring buckets at this hour. A little to the south we go, around piedmont as well, a downpour across 580. To the north we go around napa, live doppler street level. Highway 29. It is wet, downpouring to the west of the city of napa with pops of yellow on your screen. And down to the peninsula we go. Yeah, that radar is pretty much covered all around the bay area but there will be some very few spots where we will have some breaks and as we get a look at some of the heavier rain now starting to move back in we are going to have some pockets of some rain getting a lot heavier from San Francisco to the peninsula, down to the south bay. As we look at the hour by hour forecast, this rain will be staying with us for a long time throughout the day and thats the change this morning as you check in with us. We are going to have this timeline of the rain extended farther into the day. So we are seeing this streaming all over areas from San Francisco over towards the east bay and down to the south bay through at least this evening. So that is going to add to those rainfall totals. Its really going to stack up today and that could mean flash flooding as well as a lot of problems here as we go into the afternoon. Now,
