That is naples. That is drone footage of naples. The destruction there yesterday. Right now the storm hitting jacksonville and expecting a powerful storm surge there. At one point sunday the entire state was covered by this storm. Such a massive force. Now making its way toward atlanta where theyre facing a Tropical Storm warning. And we are now just starting to see images from the areas hardest hit being the keys. It hit there first and hit there hard. Hurricane irma has claimed five lives in florida, 27 across the caribbean. It was a category 4 storm when it first made landfall in florida shortly after 9 00 a. M. Yesterday with wind gusts topping 140 miles an hour. Think of all the time you got to spend with your mom. This is one of those moments that you will never forget. Especially if you lived through it. Funny you say that, moms a work atollic. Even though weve gone into the night the 14th hour she still has buzz to take care of. As the 16th hour rolls around mom is getting her zs but daughter not so much. My mom gets up at 7 00 a. M. So i guess im getting up at 7 00 a. M. Were familiar with the tri guys they get up and head to brunch with them and its all good, because mom likes to drink, too. She can put away bottomless mimoosas like the best of them. As the 24 hours comes to its completion. Just showing a different dichotomy of what a mom and daughter can be. And we do say good morning, everybody. The overwhelming aftermath of Hurricane Irma as more devastated residents return to their shattered neighbors. The death toll is rising with irma now blamed for at least 22 deaths here in the u. S. Nearly 5 million power customers are suffering through another night without electricity. President trump will get a firsthand look as he visits the storm zone tomorrow. And the florida keys took the biggest hit with nearly every home damaged or completely destroyed. Some areas still cut off. But all 42 bridges across the keys have now been deemed safe. And ice is in such short supply that people are lining up in miami for several hours to get their hands on whatever they can.
