Newscast. Roberta, thank you. Dozens of fireworks shows will light up the bay area tonight. One of the biggest shows is happening in San Francisco. Crews will be setting off nearly 10,000 fireworks at the embarcadero. Two barges, one at pier 39 and another will serve as launching pads. The show starts at 9 30 tonight. Planning to watch fireworks at the almeda county fair, be sure to arrive early. Officials changed the rules this year. They are going to be closing all of the entrances and parking lots at 6 00 p. M. Night. Reporter pyrotechnic crews are working on two barges. Theyre wiring explosives that will be synchronized with patriotic music to create the fourth of July Fireworks show. Each year theres something new. Changing up some of the patterns and colors and things of that nature. But its a good ruckus 25 minutes of fireworks and color and explosions and happiness. Reporter part of the choreography is designed to deal with the fog that often threatens to obscure the show.
