Lockdown In Thane News Today

The Nashik district administration imposed several restrictions starting Tuesday after the number of COVID-19 cases rose by 675 to touch 1,26,570 on Monday. The day also saw six people dying from the infection and 389 recovering.

A lockdown between March 13 and 31 was declared on Monday in 11 hotspots in Thane city by the civic administration, officials said.

The notification in Thane sates that enforcement of the limited lockdown should begin in the concerned areas with immediate effect. Thane officials said there were restrictions in place till February 28 in keeping with the state mandate but with rising numbers, a fresh list has been formulated.
