BISBEE, Ariz. (KVOA) - Cochise county officials provided an update Friday morning regarding the Locklin Fire burning in Bisbee.

Authorities in Arizona warned Thursday of more wildfire danger as crews in the state and around the country worked to contain multiple blazes amidst windy and tinder-dry conditions. 

Evacuees from the Locklin Fire in Arizona are just some of the many Americans dealing with wildfire season that is picking up in the West, as far as southern Arizona, and in the Plains states.

Crews in southeastern Arizona are battling a wildfire that has prompted evacuations in the Bisbee area, according to officials.

Residents in the areas of Locklin Avenue, Wood Canyon and Juniper Flats are in evacuation status, according to officials.

Firefighters are fighting the Locklin Fire, burning near Old Bisbee, Arizona since April 25, 2022.
