Lone Star Ballet returns to the stage after a year of no performances

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Lone Star Ballet returns to the stage this week with their performance of âTime Steps.â
This show is LSBâs first performance in over a year.
âWe are extremely excited. We canât wait to present to the public on Friday and Saturday,â said Roxann Seaton, professional dancer, instructor and Ballet Mistress for LSB. âItâs just been a whirlwind to try to get back to it.â
Lone Star Ballet will present “TimeSteps: Rock of the Ages” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts.

Everyone was hoping to have Christmas in February. There is never a bad time for the Christmas cheer. We found out in November that the Lone Star Ballet’s Nutcracker was going to have to reschedule their normal Christmas performance.
That was around the time that the Amarillo Civic Center had made the tough decision to shut down everything at their location. So the Lone Star Ballet had to push the performance back. That was their hope. They wanted to still share their holiday cheer. Even if it was in February.
When they made the decision to reschedule they picked the last weekend in February. The hope was that everything would be back to normal and the show would be able to go on. The announcement came out recently to let us know that would not be the case.
