Recharge Capital the leading 6B thematicfirst private investment firm today announced former Executive Director and Head of Bridgewater Associates Singapore Margaret Wang has been appointed Managing Partner focused on leading its Womens Health Strategy

Some areas of women’s health such as fertility and menopause have seen an increase in investments, but experts say the sector remains underfunded. 

The fund will target investments in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Europe.

It will invest in fertility in emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, Europe and Mexico.

Generation Prime, a startup that wants to make IVF and other fertility services more accessible to patients in Asia, is launching its first two clinics in Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. The company also announced seed funding led by Recharge Capital, which incubated it, with participation from Thiel Capital, Shamrock Holdings, the Disney family’s investment vehicle and Blue Lion Global.
