That new york milk story is a great example of how the supply chains get disrupted because so much of the milk supply was destined for new york city Public Schools, which is a very big consumer of new york state milk. Theyre all closed down. Those milk producers up there dont have contracts for delivering it elsewhere, and the governor has to figure out how to get that milk out into the world where it can get to the people who desperately need it, cant afford it. Right and there are statewide contracts like that that governors around the country need to fix. He doesnt know that it began as Decoration Day in 1868, when we honored our war dead by decorating their graves at Arlington National cemetery. Memorial day didnt become an official federal holiday until 1971, but the tradition of decorating war graves never stopped. I did it when i was a little kid in boston. My daughter did it. When she was a girl scout. And her group planted small american flags at a los angeles Veterans Cemetery in westwood. I called my mother from that cemetery, knowing that she would want to know what her granddaughter was doing there, was planting those flags.
