Election dates for the final two members of the Pine Bluff School Board have been determined following a draw at Monday night’s regular meeting.

With a draw from a deck of envelopes, Pine Bluff School District board trustees learned when their seats would be up for election Monday night.

Students in the Pine Bluff School District will no longer be required to wear uniforms starting this coming school year.

Something happened last week that has not happened in four years: The school board for the Pine Bluff School District met.

One by one, each trustee on the Pine Bluff School Board took an oath as administered by District 11-West Circuit Judge Jackie Harris.

More than four years have passed since Pine Bluff School District board members met as a group. Thats because the board was nonexistent until now.

7 locals have been appointed to the new school board, which means the district will now have “limited authority" after 5 years of being under state control.
