The official death toll at 11.30am on Friday was three dead and nearly 300 injured, some in critical condition.

The blast occurred around 3.15 am when the official woke up to drink hot water and lit the match standing near the stove, according to a statement issued by the SDM

"22 people were injured in a fire incident in a residential building located in the Bichali Ghat area of Kolkata, on Thursday. The fire is suspected to have been caused due to a cylinder blast," police said on Thursday.

Rajasthan news: Two motorcycles and a vehicle to transport the cylinders were also damaged in an explosion that claimed the lives of at least four people while hurting several others.

Family members informed that the blast occurred when a meal was being prepared and Arvind was playing there.

At least 14 people, including children, were left injured after an LPG gas cylinder exploded in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The incident took place at Maternity & Child Care Hospital in Shairbagh.

The couple residing in the house suffered serious injuries and they have been moved to the hospital. Their condition is said to be serious.

The mother and her twins were shifted to Safdarjung Hospital but the doctors declared them dead.
