Martha Hageon, 48, died on Tuesday after being taken off life support
She had been fatally stabbed by her 26-year-old son Alejandro Sanabria in a Lucky s convenience store in Lufkin, Texas, on Friday night
Sanabria has bipolar disorder and was in day three of a manic episode
Hageon had been attempted to keep him away from his pregnant partner and child until it was over
Sanabria s behavior worsened and Hageon texted her husband to call 911
Officers tracked the pair down to the store but as they approached, Sanabria pulled out a large knife and injured his mother
Officer Gerardo Salinas, 29, also suffered a punctured lung during the arrest

LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - One of two victims from the stabbing at Lucky’s Convenience Store in Lufkin has died.
Martha Hageon, 48, of Lufkin, died Tuesday evening at an area hospital.

Police report at 10:30 p.m. Friday, when officers entered Lucky’s Convenience Store, Sanabria attacked his mother with a large knife, critically injuring her. As officers attempted to stop the attack, Sanabria stabbed Officer Salinas in the side.
