Lum Temple News Today

As Asian countries celebrate the Lunar New Year, an Orlando temple will bless businesses in Orange County with lion dances and Kung Fu demonstrations.

Florida’s coldest holiday attraction is already under construction at Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee.

An Orlando coalition that played a major part in ensuring Asian American Pacific Islander history would be a required part of the curriculum in Florida public schools is celebrating that accomplishment at a community event Saturday.

After a two-year effort by Make Us Visible Florida, Asian American Pacific Islander history will now be a required part of the curriculum in Florida public schools.

Behind every piece of legislation is a grassroots leader and a community of supporters championing it.

The Lunar New Year celebration is January 22nd. Central Florida events include a performance at the Wah Lum Kung Fu Temple, rooted in Asian tradition but open to everyone.
