It's a true story about grieving, illness, and healing after the tragic loss of their dog Aggie. Their new journey led them to adopt Lucky, a heartworm-positive pup from the Houston Humane Society. With their help and determination, Lucky made a full recovery.

The animal shelter is still at critical capacity, and a shelter worker says older pets are perfect for the holidays.
