Six New Bloomfield Lady Wildcats were included in the Show-Me Conferences all-Show-Me teams, announced New Bloomfield Softball via X Wednesday.

After finishing as runner-up in Class 2 District 3, seven New Bloomfield Lady Wildcats were named all-district, the most out of the three Callaway County schools in the district.

MOKANE -- New Bloomfield Lady Wildcats all-state catcher Myah Briggs went 3-4 with two home runs, a single, a walk, five RBI and three runs, but their pitching and fielding werent good enough to win a district title.

MOKANE -- The New Bloomfield Lady Wildcats won the South Callaway Tournament for the second straight year, won their second tournament this season and beat two state-ranked Class 1 teams Saturday.

LINN -- It was a wouldve, couldve, shouldve game for the New Bloomfield Lady Wildcats.

AUXVASSE -- North Callaways pitching and Meagan Schmidts performance at the plate and the circle led to the Ladybirds finishing the week 3-0 against district opponents.

Returning four starters, the New Bloomfield Lady Wildcats will have a different look to the team this season, but they also bring back some quality bats and an ace with experience pitching at state.

South Callaway girls basketball played one of its better games this season, but New Bloomfields second-half offense was too much for the Lady Bulldogs.

It’s a game the New Bloomfield Lady Wildcats enjoy playing. “Helias is Helias, every single year,” New Bloomfield softball coach Zach Moore said Thursday after the Helias Lady Crusaders edged the Lady Wildcats 8-7 at the American Legion Post 5 Sports Complex. “Our girls get up for this game big-time. “I couldn’t be happier with the way we played. I’m obviously not happy with an 8-7 loss in a walkoff, but this game should wake us up and show us what we can do.”
