LEEDS The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is investigating a crash involving a Leeds Police Officer. The crash happened late on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021.
Officer Jordan Palmer was responding to a call when his patrol vehicle collided with another vehicle, according to his longtime friend, Madison McElroy. Palmer had to be extricated from the vehicle and he was taken to UAB Hospital for treatment. McElroy said Palmer suffered a broken leg, a broken wrist, scratches and bruises, and he will have to undergo surgery.
McElroy said she got the call about the crash and got in touch with Palmer while he was waiting to get a room at UAB. Although he had a long wait, Palmer said McElroy stayed strong. After knowing Palmer for six years, she said she was not surprised at how positive he seemed on the phone.
