Enhanced Piezocatalysis by Calcium Phosphate Nanowires
In a study published in the journal ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, anisotropic geometry and gold nanoparticle (Au NP) incorporation were demonstrated to improve the piezocatalysis ability of calcium phosphate (Ca3(PO4)2) nanomaterial by tenfold, and the behavior matched that of the renowned bulk/NP form of Barium titanate (BaTiO3).
