Sen Collins again named most bipartisan senator in bipartisanship study

A study released Monday by the Lugar Center and McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University concluded that Collins is the nation’s most bipartisan senator for the eighth year in a row. The study uses a score system, and gave the U.S. senator a score of 4.584 for the 116th Congress, which is the highest full-Congress Senate score in the history of the Bipartisan Index. According to CBS 13 news, that ranking is calculated based on how often each senator co-sponsors legislation from those in the opposite party and how often their bills attract co-sponsors from the other side of the aisle.
