El Dorado concluded its basketball season on Thursday, falling twice to 5A South champion Lake Hamilton at Wildcat Arena. The Lady Wildcats dropped a 56-22 decision to fall to 7-20, 6-9. The Wildcats lost to the Wolves 81-51 and finished with a 6-17, 3-13 record.
Damecia McDaniel saved El Dorado from a disastrous Sweetheart Night on Friday as the Lady Wildcats rallied for a 44-42 win over Texarkana in overtime at Wildcat Arena. McDaniel’s 3-pointer in the overtime proved to be the difference as El Dorado improved to 6-17 overall and 5-6 in 5A-South play.
El Dorado’s girls secured a much-needed 5A South victory Tuesday, beating Hot Springs 50-39 at Wildcat Arena. The Lady Wildcats improved to 4-14, 3-3 while the Lady Trojans fell to 5-11, 0-5.
