Nottinghamshires Tory Police and Crime Commissioner Caroline Henry has been banned from driving for six months after being caught breaking the speed limit - and has refused to resign.

Tory Police and Crime Commissioner for Nottinghamshire, Caroline Henry, pictured leaving Nottingham Crown Court is awaiting sentence after she was caught speeding five times over 12 weeks.

Caroline Henry, the PCC for Nottinghamshire, pleaded guilty to five speeding offences in the space of four months - including two committed on consecutive days.

A major plan on how to tackle crime across Nottinghamshire has been published – which includes creating ‘a ring of steel’ around the county through a network of cameras which automatically track car number plates.

Projects helping to combat crime in Nottinghamshire can apply for a share of £1 million funding as part of Police and Crime Commissioner’s Make Notts Safe Grants.
