The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) said troops across the country killed 715 terrorists, arrested 146 others and rescued 465 kidnapped hostages in April.

The Defence Headquarters, DHQ, on Thursday, admitted avoidable professional errors by its Troops in the airstrikes that were executed in Tudun Biri Village, Jabi Local Government Area of Katsina State last year during which several innocent citizens were reportedly killed.

A total of 715 terrorist members were killed by the Nigerian military during a series of gun battles that took place nationwide in April.    The Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba disclosed this on Thursday during an update on military operations, adding that 146 other suspects were arrested and 465 kidnapped victims were rescued during the same period.     

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has struck terrorists who attacked and killed six soldiers in Shiroro, Niger State and destroyed their hideouts.
