HUNDREDS of pensioners have been helped out this Christmas by a charity appeal which has touched people’s hearts. People from across the region have filled more than 500 "Santa boxes" with goodies like socks, gloves, sweets, and puzzle books to give to older people worried about being alone this Christmas.
