Amanda Palmer returns to NZ with a story to tell at Q Theatre, Auckland

Amanda Palmer plays her new EP: New Zealand Survival songs

At the start of the COVID pandemic American musician Amanda Palmer was touring New Zealand when the borders closed and her 'short tour' turned into a two year stay. Amanda was joined initially by her five-year-old-son Ash, and her then husband, the author Neil Gaiman. Their marriage ended and Neil went to Scotland while Amanda and Ash stayed on in Haverlock North, and then Waiheke Island. During these two years the New Zealand Survival Songs were written. Amanda joins us in the RNZ studio in Auckland to play some of these songs with a keyboard, two guitars and some special guests.
