A 28-year-old man who died on Saturday after an altercation with two U.S. soldiers at a local amusement fair in western Germany had been fatally stabbed multiple times, according to autopsy results released on Monday.

Both men, aged 25 and 26, are stationed at the nearby Spangdahlem air base and became involved in a scuffle with a security manager in the early hours of Saturday morning, German police reported.

German police have handed over two US soldiers accused of stabbing a man to death at a fairground. The pair allegedly had an early-hours altercation with their victim.
