There has been a lot of confusion in our community over the issue of conference papers appearing as journal papers (or more rarely, vice versa). The goal of this policy and webpage is to reduce or ideally eliminate this confusion by articulating a clear policy.

New and revised manuscripts should be prepared following the "Manuscript Submission" guidelines below and submitted to the online manuscript system, ScholarOne Manuscripts.

The IEEE Internet of Things Magazine (IEEE IoTM) is soliciting Special Issue (SI) proposals. An SI is a group of articles organized around a timely narrow-scope technical topic of interest to the magazine readership. An SI may be composed of 6 to 12 papers. SIs can give papers special prominence and should provide better opportunity for the reader to explore special and emerging topics.
