​The opening of the Archaeological Park of the Celio and the new Museum of the Forma Urbis is part of a bigger project to develop the hilly area around the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and Colosseum that is home to ruins of ancient temples and gymnasiums.

A new museum, the Museum of the Forma Urbis, is opening in Rome, displaying a marble map of ancient Rome that hasnt been seen by the public for almost 100 years.

The Museum of the Forma Urbis, enclosed within a new archaeological park on one of Romes famous seven hills opens on Friday for growing hordes of tourists.
