It’s been a whirlwind few days for reporters and media professionals at Philadelphia’s local CBS station, KYW-TV, after a story published over the weekend detailed a network culture handcuffed by racism and sexism.
A company statement said there would be an independent investigation into issues raised in a report in the Los Angeles Times that accused an executive of making "racist, sexist, homophopic and discriminatory comments."
Peter Dunn, 61, president of CBS Television Stations, was suspended on Monday
Associate David Friend, senior vice president for news, was also placed on leave
The two men allegedly created a hostile work environment, and Dunn was accused of using racist language at work
Former and current employees spoke to the Los Angeles Times on Sunday

Moonves was accused of numerous counts of sexual harassment and abuse
