(Fargo, ND) — A prairie garden in the City of Fargo was at center stage at Tuesday night’s Fargo City Commission meeting, after a neighbor filed a complaint with the City of Fargo on behalf of herself and her neighbors. Marilyn Seitz, who filed the complaint with the City, said the “weed patch” has not been maintained, is supposed to be cut down in spring and is supposed to be

“I am glad that they listened to the community,” the garden’s caretaker Dr. Darrell Ross told The Forum.

"I see mowing down this garden as a tragic mistake. To paraphrase the cliche, we won't be able to eat the view. Please, I hope you will reconsider," writes Barbara Dunn of Fargo.

The vote overturned a recent approval from a lower city board allowing the prairie garden to remain in place.
