The city of Cape Coral, an area known to struggle with heavy rainfalls, said it has one of the best storm water management systems in the state.

Cape Coral is welcoming the rain. The heat and blazing sun have made it an extremely dry season for the area.

Concern is flowing through Cape Coral as neighbors are seeing their canal levels low and their wells run dry.

Approximately 130,000 customers are served by West Palm Beach's water treatment plant. Officials expect that to increase by 25% in 30 years and by 35% in 50 years to about 175,800 people.
