Less than 3% of registered voters in Catawba County have cast their votes as of Wednesday, according to the Catawba County Board of Elections.

Roughly 150 ballots had been requested at the start of the absentee voting period in Catawba County.

North Carolina primary elections are set for March 5, and there are candidates in the running to represent Caldwell County in both Washington D.C., and the state Senate in Raleigh.
