Washington County officials certified the Nov. 7 election on Monday and will send the final results to the state, barring any last-minute challenges.

Democrat JoJo Burgess won the election by 39 votes over independent candidate Mark Kennison.

The losing candidate in Washington’s mayoral race has withdrawn his challenge to the Nov. 7 election after previously claiming there were irregularities with the voting process.
