It’s hard to sum up Tomson Highway in a small number of words. The northern-born Renaissance man had a full crowd enthralled during his appearance at the R.H. Channing Auditorium Oct. 14, covering a wide array of subjects and experiences.

Plans are in full swing for the Flin Flon Aboriginal Friendship Centre’s celebration for National Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

The Flin Flon Community Choir has their cast for this year’s upcoming production of the musical Mary Poppins.

The City of Flin Flon is looking for a new chief administrative officer. In a statement released by the City Dec. 5, officials confirmed that CAO Nicole Hartman was let go this week after about a year and a half on the job.

Flin Flon Culture Days 2022 is entering its last stages, with events planned throughout this weekend and next to finish off this year’s plans.

"Unbelievably, summer is drawing to a close. That’s hard to get one’s head around, we know, but it’s time to start reporting on what we can anticipate from arts and culture in the upcoming fall and winter seasons."

The backbone of Blueberry Jam is a long and varied cast of musicians, artists and volunteers, most of whom are either based in Flin Flon or who have local ties.
